Behaviour

All our children are required to observe the rules and regulations of the school regarding dress code, language and general conduct. Children are helped by their teachers to understand what is required of them, and are trained in etiquette and general conduct through regular Life-skills classes. All our children are required to communicate only in English while they are at school.

Homework

Ours was one of the first schools to adopt a no-homework / minimal homework policy for all students. Whatever written work is required of the students is generally accomplished during school hours. This addresses the need for parents to spend quality time with their children.

Discipline

Banning corporal punishment was one of the first and over-riding policies of our school. Rather than physically punish a child for what are often excusable mistakes, our teachers rely on their broad outlook and experience to help a child understand his or her errors through learning.

General

No pupil should be absent from school without a letter from the parents. Leave will only be granted where absolutely necessary. In case of illness, a medical certificate must be produced for absence of three days or more. In case of absence without prior intimation, the diary must be duly filled and signed by the parents. No pupil should be absent on the re-opening days or the last working day of each term.

Parents are requested to regularly consult the diary, as it is used to communicate important messages from the school.

Promotion is granted on the basis of the whole year's performance and not on the results of the final examination alone.Private tuitions are strictly discouraged. If parents feel that a child needs help, special arrangements can be made in consultation with the Principal.

Parents can meet the Principal in the office by prior appointment or on Saturdays between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m.. Direct interaction with the teacher is to be avoided.

Parents of pre-school children can meet the teachers on the last Thursday of every month. Other parents can meet the teachers on the last Friday of every month. On all other days, parents can meet the supervisors of the Pre-school, Primary, Middle and High School. All these meetings take place between 3:00 and 4:00.
